There are so many things that a beginner can crochet! Here are some ideas to get you started: Washcloths, Dishcloths, and Sampler Afghans. I started with the sampler afghan since I found Annie's Kit Club videos to be really helpful but quickly moved on to dishcloths, baskets, and more.

What Is Easier To Learn Knitting Or Crocheting?

I think that it is easier to learn crocheting because it is only one motion with the hook whereas knitting has two motions (throwing the yarn and then using the needles). Also, there are more options for crochet stitches which gives you a lot more flexibility in what you can make. However, every person is different so it really depends on the person. I would recommend trying both and seeing which one you like better!
